The Housing Design Awards were created in 1947 by Aneurin Bevan to promote and encourage good quality house-building in Britain. To coincide with their 50th anniversary in 1997, the awards were re-launched. We were commissioned to create a new identity which embodied the spirit of the re-structured awards. The objective was to increase the profile and awareness of the awards and therefore the level and quality of entries. We subsequently designed and produced the winners book and related awards material for seven consecutive years. The winners book has become collectable and in 2003 we designed a slipcase to contain all six books produced to date.
